What you get
Timers built in
Read each step without touching a greasy phone. Timers run in the background and ping when the pot is ready.
Your own cookbook
Recipes from books, family and friends all live together, tagged and searchable, with your own tweaks kept alongside.
Plan the week
Plan seven dinners in a couple of minutes. Repeat last week, swap a day or leave a gap for takeaway.
A list that writes itself
Quantities are combined across dishes and staples you already have are skipped. Share the list with whoever is shopping.
About Kitchenbook
We are a small team of people who cook most evenings and got tired of screenshots, bookmarks and paper cards scattered across three drawers. The app keeps everything in one searchable place, understands units and quantities, and steps through a recipe on a phone propped against the kettle without you touching the screen. Add dietary filters, notes and ratings, and it becomes a cookbook that reflects how your household really eats.
How it works
- 1Import your favorites from notes or photos.
- 2Drag them onto the days of the week.
- 3Open the shopping list and go to the store.
- 4Switch on cooking mode and follow along.
Frequently asked questions
How does the shopping list work?
Pick the recipes for the week and the list is built for you, grouped by store aisle, with quantities merged across dishes.
Can I add my own recipes?
Of course. Type them in, paste text from anywhere or snap a photo of a handwritten card, and Kitchenbook will structure the ingredients and steps.
Does it handle dietary restrictions?
Filter by vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and more. Substitutions are suggested when an ingredient does not fit.
